RUMFORD – Caitlin Anthoine netted five goals Thursday to lead Lewiston to a 15-6 victory over Mountin Valley in girls’ lacrosse action.

Kelsey Rodrigue and Luca Jacobsen chipped in for the Blue Devils (9-2) with three goals each, while Mallory Long added two and Marina MacDonald and Danielle Lavoie scored once. Mary Leblanc made 12 saves for Lewiston for the win.

Jessica Allen led the Falcons (1-8) with four goals, while Angie Child and Paige Carter also scored. Rachel Calden turned away seven shots.

Mt. Ararat 16, EL 5

TOPSHAM – Erin Lacey put five shots into the back of the net to propel Mt. Ararat to a 16-5 triumph over Edward Little.

Kelsey Fenurck chipped in for the Eagles (6-4) with three goals, while Sarah Vosmus and Rachel Coolidge added two goals apiece.

Katie Bonney led the Red Eddies (2-7) with three goals, while Liv Welch and Dani Martineau also scored. JoJo Hughes turned away 19 shots in net for Edward Little.

Telstar 7, Madison 3

MADISON – Jessica Farrington smacked a pair of hits and added two RBIs to lead Telstar to a 7-3 victory over Madison in MVC softball action Thursday.

Abby Hutchins and Stephanie Tripp contributed for the Rebels (9-2) with two hits and one RBI apiece, while pitcher Jilian Kimball added a pair of hits and scattered six hits to notch the win.

Catcher Jessica Heyden and Ashley Marandola led the Bulldogs (1-3) with two hits apiece.

Hebron 10, NYA 8

HEBRON – Hebron Academy put together a seven-run sixth inning to come away with a 10-8 victory over North Yarmouth Academy.

Megan Irving led the offensive effort for Hebron (9-3) with a triple and a double, while Katherine Cole, Sam Baril, Tiffany Bichrest recorded one RBI each. Sarah Irish fanned six, walked seven and allowed eight runs to notch the win.

North Yarmouth (7-5) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning but Hebron roared back with a vengeance late in the game.
