JAY – Kaylie DiMillo poured in a game-high 18 points to lead Jay to a 51-14 romp over Carrabec in MVC girls’ basketball matchup Thursday.
Jay held a commanding 24-6 lead at the break.
Katie Mastine chipped in for the Tigers (8-2) with seven points, while Emily Cloutier added six.
Alicia Tingley led the winless Cobras (0-9) with six points.
Mtn. Valley 53, Madison 44
RUMFORD – Kristen Arsenault netted a game-high 28 points, pulled down eight rebounds and added four assists to lead Mountain Valley to a 53-44 victory over Madison .
Mountain Valley stepped out to a 24-21 lead at the half and slowly pulled away on a 13-7 run in the third quarter.
Tanya Nicols chipped in for the Falcons (3-5) with 14 points.
Margo Russell led the Bulldogs (2-8) with 11 points, while Ashley Marandola and Lacy Ashbrook added nine and eight points.
Telstar 55, Mt. Abram 46
BETHEL – Telstar stormed back in the final quarter with a 20-5 run to rally for a 55-46 victory over Mt. Abram.
The Roadrunners held a 41-35 cushion after three quarters.
Jillian Kimball drained a game-high 16 points for the Rebels (6-2). Bailey Davis chipped in with 15 points and five boards.
Mt. Abram was led by Briana Wilkins with 15 points.
Rockland 72, Oak Hill 41
ROCKLAND – Nicole Clark poured in 14 points to carry Rockland to a 72-41 victory over Oak Hill.
Dana Clark added 12 points and Kaitlin Hynes had 10.
Ashley Stein nailed two 3-pointers and finished with 12 points and Emily Sabine had seven steals for Oak Hill.
Winthrop 46, Monmouth 37
WINTHROP – A 14-6 advantage in the first quarter gave Winthrop a quick start and propelled the Ramblers to a 46-37 triumph over Monmouth.
Katie Pushard led the Ramblers (5-5) with 12 points and Nicki Emery chipped in with 11. Cortney Barrett scored a game-high 15 points for the Mustangs (3-6).
Dirigo 58, Lisbon 18
DIXFIELD – Alexa Kaubris was eight for eight with a game-high 16 points to pace Dirigo to a 58-18 win against Lisbon.
Brooke Weston scored seven points and had seven assists for the Cougars (9-0).
The winless Greyhounds were led by Angie Estes with six points.
