PORTLAND – Paul Anderson found the net with seven minutes to play to lift Portland to a 4-3 victory over St. Dom’s.
Anderson tallied a hat trick for the Bulldogs (5-1) to lead all scorers.
Pat O’Neill scored a pair of goals for the Saints (7-1) and Jon Rutt added one. Goalien Brady Blackmon held steady, turning away 14 shots.
Lewiston 2, Falmouth 1
FALMOUTH – Jon Roy converted a feed from Travis Lebran and Danny Cloutier at 3:30 of the third period to lift Lewiston to a 2-1 win over Falmouth.
Nate Gruz also tallied for the Blue Devils (7-1). Brian Nason was credited with 21 saves.
Starkey Thayer scored the lone goal for Falmouth (4-4) in the first period.
EL 9, South Portland 3
SOUTH PORTLAND – Matt Nadeau netted four goals and added an assist to lead Edward Little to a 9-3 victory over South Portland.
Jacob Marcum chipped in for the Red Eddies (6-4) with a pair of goals, while Nick Merrill, Kevin Smith, Cory Binette also tallied. Chris Bennett handled netkeeping duties for EL.
Tim Clark led South Portland with a pair of goals.
Basketball
Jay 74, Carrabec 47
JAY – Justin Wells drained 18 points to pace Jay to a 74-47 rout over Carrabec.
Wells dropped 10 points in the third quarter to spark a 23-5 run and give Jay an unsurmountable lead.
Brad Loon chipped in for the Tigers (4-6) with 12 points, while Leigh Trask added 10.
Tim Therrien led the Cobras (1-8) with 18 points.
Winthrop 58, Monmouth 34
WINTHROP – Chip Burnham scored 16 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead Winthrop to a 58-34 drubbing of Monmouth.
Jason Allen and Sam LeClerc added 12 points apiece for the Ramblers, who trailed 17-10 after one quarter. The second quarter saw a dramatic reversal as Winthrop’s pressing defense limited Monmouth to 3 points.
Sean Holbrook led the Mustangs (0-8) with seven points, while teammates Ben Seefeldt, Matt Gatcomb and Nate Armstrong added six points each.
Rangeley 60, Averill 34
RANGELEY – David Jensen poured in a game-high 22 points to pace Rangeley to a 60-34 victory over Averill.
Justin Gallant chipped in for the Lakers (2-5) with 11 points, while Kent Madeira added nine.
Hall-Dale 55, Boothbay 51
HALLOWELL – Matt Wheelock scored 21 points to push Hall-Dale to a 55-51 win over Boothbay to remain unbeaten.
Ben Laflin pitched in with 16 points.
The Bulldogs led 28-18 at the half. The Seahawks (7-2) cut the lead to six points at the end of the third frame, but could get no closer than the final margin of four points.

RANGELEY – David Jensen poured in a game-high 22 points Thursday evening to pace the Rangeley boys’ squad to a 60-34 victory over Averill in a EWC basketball matchup. Justin Gallant chipped in for the Lakers (2-5) with 11 points, while Kent Madeira added nine.
