BUCKFIELD – Abby Gilbert poured in a game-high 23 points to lift St. Dom’s to a 59-50 victory over Buckfield in girls’ basketball action Tuesday.

The Saints held a 31-26 advantage at the half, then Buckfield tied it up at 45 after the third quarter. The Saints sealed the win with a 14-5 run in the final quarter.

Julie Vandermeulen added 12 points for the Saints (4-1), while Malley O’Shea and Emily Goss added seven each.

Desiree Brackett led the Bucks (2-6) with 17 points. Shayna Shackford contributed 13 and Alyssa Henderson added 12.

Gardiner 51, EL 28

AUBURN – Gardiner broke open a close game with a 21-2 run in the third quarter to pull away for a 51-28 triumph over Edward Little.

The Tigers (2-3) jumped out to a 21-16 lead by halftime before putting away the Red Eddies (1-4).

Allyce Pepin netted 11 points to pace the Gardiner attack, while Britney Salley chipped in for 10 points.

Kate Dargie and Brittney French led the Red Eddies with eight points apiece.

Erskine 47, Oak Hill 37

WALES – Melissa St. Amand scored 12 points to lead Erskine Academy to a 47-37 victory over Oak Hill.

Erin Corey provided the Eagles with nine points.

The Raiders received the bulk of their offensive support from Amber Champman, who recorded a double-double with 25 points and 22 rebounds. Ashley Stein notched a pair of 3-point conversions for Oak Hill.

Rangeley 66, Waynflete 33

PORTLAND – Senior forward Krysteen Romero scored 15 points in a balanced attack as Rangeley cruised to a 66-33 win over Waynflete.

The Lakers received offensive support from senior guards Sarah Schrader and Rosie LaPointe, who scored 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Freshman guard Margaret Veroneau led the Flyers with 10 points.

Leavitt 54, Morse 48

BATH – Junior guard Stephanie Healey scored 16 of her 17 points in the fourth quarter as Leavitt stormed back for a 54-48 victory over Morse.

The Hornets (1-4) were down by 19 after three quarters before rallying back with a 29-4 run in the final frame. Brittany Duncan hauled down 13 rebounds along the way, while Ashley Nailor added another 11 in the winning effort.

Freshman guard Jill Henrikson fired up the Shipbuilders early, scoring 13 of her 24 points in the second quarter.
