SALEM – Nate Blake downed 18 points, which included four 3-pointers, to help Mt. Abram post a 66-55 victory over Livermore Falls in MVC basketball action Monday evening.

Jordan Norton added 13 points for the Roadrunners (2-0). Mt. Abram never fell behind throughout the contest.

The Andies’ (0-2) effort was paced by Brad Bryant with a game-high 25 points, while Levi Armandi chipped in with 14 points.

Jay 69, Madison 50

MADISON – Brad Loon drained a game-high 23 points, leading Jay to a 69-50 victory over Madison in boys’ basketball action Monday evening.

Ryan Dipompo added 16 points for the Tigers (1-1).

The Bulldog (0-1) effort was paced by Ryan Pinkham with 13 points and Judah Norris with 10.

Pine Tree 68, Gould 58

FREEPORT — Jarod Verril led all players with 34 points as Pine Tree Academy defeated Gould Academy 68-58 in a boys’ basketball matchup Monday.

Ben Goodall contributed 14 points, including two 3-pointers to the Pine Tree (1-0) victory.

Carl Olsen scored 25 points while T.J. Savage had 22 for Gould (0-1).

Boothbay 50, Lisbon 48

LISBON FALLS — Owen Johnson sunk a jump shot from the foul line with seconds left on the clock to lift Boothbay to a 50-48 victory over Lisbon in boys’ basketball action Monday.

Roy Arsenault led all Boothbay (1-1) scorers with 16 points while Johnson racked up 14, including the game-winner.

Lisbon (0-1), which received a 15-point performance from Levi Ervin, tied the game with 24 seconds left on the clock.

Mountain Valley 85, Carrabec 29

NORTH ANSON – Marcus Palmer drained a game-high 16 points as Mountain Valley dominated Carrabec 85-29 in MVC basketball action Monday.

Jarod Oldham added 11 points, while Byron Glaus chipped in with 10 points for the win. Mountain Valley (2-0) was solid throughout the game.

The Falcon’s half-court pressure caused numerous Carrabec turnovers and proved to be a key element in the Mountain Valley win.

Brandon Coutts scored 12 points, three of them being 3-pointers, for the Cobras (0-1).
