AUBURN – Michelle Bernier recorded 17 points and pulled down nine rebounds as Edward Little danced past Leavitt 54-35 in KVAC girls’ basketball action Tuesday.
Brittney French added 14 points and 10 steals to the Eddies’ (1-5) win.
The Hornets (0-7) were led by Annie Dyer and Brittany Duncan who combined for 20 points.
Sacopee Valley 32, Buckfield 25
BUCKFIELD – Melissa Verrill drained nine points as Sacopee Valley slipped past Buckfield to clinch a 32-25 win in WMC basketball action Tuesday night.
Marie Day added eight points, while Emily Merrill chipped in with six for the Hawks. The Bucks (0-8) were paced by Chelsea Allen with eight points.
Greater Portland 40, Eastgate 26
NEW GLOUCESTER – Casey Eastwood drained 14 points to lead Greater Portland Christian Academy to a 40-26 win over Eastgate Christian Academy on Tuesday evening.
Greater Portland’s (5-0) aggressive defense and strong rebounding helped the team to notch the victory.
Emily Johnson sank 11 points for the win.
Eastgate (6-1) was led by Haley Veilleux with 12 points and Amy Turgeon with eight.
Mt. View 53, Oak Hill 42
THORNDIKE – Amy Miles downed 23 points as Mt. View notched a 53-42 win over Oak Hill in KVAC basketball action Tuesday.
Kristy Clements added 13 points, while Stephanie Mehurien chipped in with eight for the Mustangs (1-7).
The Raiders (1-7) were led by Amber Chapman with a game-high 26 points and 19 rebounds.
G-NG 46, Poland 34
POLAND – Joseli Danelli netted 18 points Tuesday night to lead Gray-New Gloucester to a 46-34 WMC victory over Poland. Danelli was the only player for the Patriots to reach double digits.
Mindy Thomas led the scoring effort for the Knights (1-8) with a fine 12-point performance, while Sarah Lefebrve contributed with nine.
Hebron 43, Elan 25
HEBRON – Maddy Campbell scored 16 points as Hebron defeated Elan 43-25 Tuesday night. Danielle Dawson and Kainani Stevens each scored 10 points for Hebron (1-2). Elan (1-4) was led by Nicole Graham with eight points.
