LEWISTON – Marvin Langley returned the opening kickoff 78 yards for a touchdown to spark the Central Maine Shockers to a 20-6 semi-pro football win over the Hurricanes.
The Shockers extended the lead to 14-0 later in the quarter when Steve Coleman connected on a 55-yard bomb to Jon McCabe. The duo hooked up again in the third quarter on a 30-yard scoring toss.
Nate Thibodeault intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble, while Jake Landry also recorded a fumble recovery. Zach Stewart led the defense with eight solo tackles.
