PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — A Portsmouth man is free on bail after police say he plowed into a stack of pumpkins on a church lawn while driving drunk.

Twenty-six-year-old Thomas Brennan was charged with aggravated drunken driving Monday after his Toyota Camry veered off Miller Avenue and smashed into pumpkins outside First United Methodist Church. The pumpkins were awaiting the church’s annual fundraising sale.

Foster’s Daily Democrat reports that Brennan, who was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bond, is due in Portsmouth District Court on Nov. 13.
