Returning letter winners: Girls: Senior – Jayde Purington; Junior – Lexie Niedner; Sophomore – Isabella Randall. Boys: Senior – Willie Brown; Juniors – Alex Rose, Zach Vigue.
Key losses: Boys: Ryan Jackson.
Promising newcomers: Girls: Erin Gats, Elizabeth Cote, Haily Shea. Boys: Cody Jacques, Trevor Timberlake, Owen Timberlake, Zach Bates, Chad Bamford, David Newman, Travis Neal, Ryan Chretien, Philipea Paradis.
Outlook: LF will boast its largest and most talented team in years. Rose is the reigning Class C boys’ state champion in slalom and giant slalom. Niedner is a contender for the state title in skimeister (combined success in Alpine and Nordic). Brown, Vigue and Cody Jacques, a transfer from Jay, combine with Rose to give the Andies a shot at climbing the final rung on the ladder after finishing second in the boys’ Class C competition a year ago. Purington will lead the girls’ charge at the conference and state levels.
