BYRON — Mike and Linda Gallant of Byron are proud to announce the engagement of their son, Brent Gallant, to Kerry MacPherson, daughter of Cathy and Terry MacPherson of St. Johnsbury, Vt.

Mr. Gallant is a 2003 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and a 2008 graduate of Plymouth State University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and health. He is currently working as a health teacher at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

Miss MacPherson is a 2005 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and a 2009 graduate of Plymouth State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is currently working as a Title 1 teacher at Dirigo Elementary School.

An August wedding is planned.
