Financial aid

JAY — A financial aid information presentation for the parents of Jay High
School juniors and seniors will be given at 6
p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, in the Jay High School library. A representative from the Finance
Authority of Maine will define financial aid, explain how to apply and describe the
different types of financial aid.

Craft fair

MT. VERNON —  The Christmas in the Village art and craft fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at the Mt. Vernon Community Center and Masonic Hall. There will be jewelry, baskets, maple products, art prints and handmade crafts.

LIVERMORE FALLS — The Nazarene Church, 6 Wheeler St. will host a revival featuring
Pastor Chuck and Lisa Lacombe. Services will be held at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29 and at 6 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, Nov. 30 to Dec. 2. Refreshments will be served after each service.

Holiday sale

FARMINGTON —  The Fairbanks School Neighborhood Association will sponsor a
holiday sale from 10 a.m.
to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at the Fairbanks School Meeting
House, 508 Fairbanks Road. The sale will include a variety of new and gently used
indoor and outdoor holiday decorations, holiday stuffed animals,
wrapping paper and more.

There will be a table with new gift items
and gift baskets. Donations will also be accepted. For information or to donate,

Conservation meeting

FARMINGTON — The USDA Local Working Group will have a public
meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, in the conference room of the USDA
Service Center, 107 Park Street. The group will review what was set for
priorities in the past and determining if changes need to be made for
2010, determine which conservation practices will be made available to
agricultural producers and will recommend how the total funding should
be allotted among the different land use projects.

The Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District will
handle registration for the Natural Resource Conservation Service and
requests sign up at 4 p.m., Monday, Dec. 7. Those planning to attend or
