OAKMONT, Pa. (AP) – A brief look at Friday’s second round of the 107th U.S. Open golf championship at Oakmont Country Club:

Leading: Angel Cabrera of Argentina, whose 71 left him at even-par 140.

Just behind: Bubba Watson, 141, and four golfers tied at 142.

Where’s Tiger? Tiger Woods shot a 74, and was tied with five others, five shots back.

Alternate plans: Phil Mickelson headed up a star-studded cast that won’t be playing this weekend. Other major winners who missed the cut were Justin Leonard, Shaun Micheel, Retief Goosen and Davis Love.

Defending champion: Geoff Ogilvy followed his opening-round 71 with a 75.

Noteworthy: The cut at 10-over 150 ties the record for the highest score in relation to par, first established at Bethpage in 2002.

Quotable: “It’s a real test of golf, all the way through. Just walking through the parking lot is tough.” – Bubba Watson.

Key tee times Saturday: Lee Janzen, Jim Furyk, 1:35 p.m.; Tiger Woods, Nick Dougherty, 2:05 p.m.; Bubba Watson, Angel Cabrera, 3:15 p.m.

Television (all times EDT): Saturday, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., NBC.
