INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Andre Agassi plans to return to the tour next month at the RCA Championships after accepting a wild-card invitation from the tournament Monday.

Agassi is skipping Wimbledon, which began Monday, for the second straight year because of injury. Hampered by a bad back, the eight-time Grand Slam champion lost in the first round at the French Open last month.

The July 18-24 Indianapolis event is the next hard-court tournament on the ATP Tour schedule.

The 35-year-old Agassi is currently ranked sixth in the world.
