ORLANDO, Fla. – Steve Francis scored 23 points, Grant Hill added 17 and the Orlando Magic posted the NBA’s highest-scoring game of the season with a 129-108 thrashing of the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night.

Eight Orlando players scored in double figures as the Magic shot 57.3 percent (51-for-89) and held a rebounding advantage of 61-32. Only three players didn’t make at least half their shots.

Even Cuttino Mobley, sidelined the previous nine games with a groin strain, scored 16. Dwight Howard had 15 points and a season-high 20 rebounds for his third straight double-double, while Kelvin Cato had his second straight with 12 points and a season-best 14 rebounds.

Hedo Turkoglu had 15 points, DeShawn Stevenson 13 and Jameer Nelson 10.

Vince Carter scored 21 points for Toronto in the Raptors’ biggest loss of the season. Rafer Alston added 16 and Jalen Rose 15.

Coming out of the break with an eight-point lead, Orlando quickly put the game away by making five of its first eight shots during a 14-2 run. Cato’s dunk with 7:49 left in the third quarter gave the Magic a 82-62 lead.

Orlando topped 100 points with 57 seconds left in the third quarter, on Nelson’s banked floater. The margin reached 30 at 113-83 with 9:42 remaining; 120 points were eclipsed at the 6:45 mark; and the Magic broke the league’s previous season best for scoring – 122 – with 5:32 left.

There didn’t seem to be much mercy from Orlando coach Johnny Davis, who had four of his five starters on the floor with a 32-point lead. The Magic’s largest lead was 38 points at 123-85.

Knicks 90, Grizzlies 82

NEW YORK – Stephon Marbury made five 3-pointers in the second quarter to help put the Knicks ahead for good, and New York received a fourth-quarter boost from Jerome Williams in a 90-82 victory Wednesday night over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The loss was the fifth straight for Memphis, and the fourth since the unexpected resignation of coach Hubie Brown. The Grizzlies were in talks with Mike Fratello to become their new coach, but no deal had been finalized.

New York has won five of its last six.

Marbury scored 26 points, 17 coming in the second quarter when his touch from downtown was nearly flawless. Marbury’s first two 3s pulled the Knicks to 40-39, and his next made it 42-40 and gave the Knicks the lead for good.

Marbury had 17 of the points in a 19-8 run to close the half that gave New York a 49-44 halftime lead.

Bonzi Wells led Memphis with 16 points, and Lorenzen Wright had 12.

Michael Sweetney had 11 points, Nazr Mohammed added 10 and Williams nine – all in the fourth quarter – on a night when Knicks starters Kurt Thomas (2-for-14) and Jamal Crawford (4-for-14) struggled from the field.

Wizards 95, Nets 68

WASHINGTON – The Washington Wizards welcomed coach Eddie Jordan back Wednesday with a 95-68 victory over New Jersey, his former team, sending the Nets to their sixth consecutive road loss.

Gilbert Arenas had a season-high 30 points, seven rebounds and five assists to lead the Wizards to their fifth victory in six games.

Antawn Jamison added 18 points and nine rebounds as Washington posted its largest winning margin of the season. Larry Hughes had 15 points and nine rebounds.

Jordan, 49, was hospitalized with a blood clot in his left leg on Thanksgiving after driving to practice and being evaluated by the Wizards’ team physician Barry Talesnick. Jordan missed the Wizards’ 116-114 overtime loss Friday at Philadelphia and 114-109 overtime victory Sunday at Toronto.

“I’m feeling real good,” Jordan said before the game. “It was a good week for me to recover and I’m moving in the right direction. I’m back to being close to 100 percent.”

Eric Williams led New Jersey with 17 points, and Travis Best added 16.

NEW ORLEANS – Brad Miller’s 24 points and some clutch outside shooting by Bobby Jackson and Peja Stojakovic lifted the Sacramento Kings to a 94-81 victory over New Orleans on Wednesday night and kept the Hornets winless at home.

The Hornets had a 20-point deficit trimmed to nine after Lee Nailon’s one-handed follow of a missed 3-pointer with a little more than nine minutes to go. But 3-pointers on three straight Kings possessions – two by Jackson and one by Stojakovic – made the score 83-67 and all but ended any realistic chance of the Hornets (1-13) notching their first home victory in seven tries.

Stojakovic finished with 20 points, while Jackson, who hit his first six shots, had 19. Chris Webber added 12 points and nine assists, while Doug Christie scored 10 for the Kings, who shot 49 percent.

David Wesley scored 18 to lead New Orleans, which shot 39 percent. Nailon and backup point guard Junior Harrington each scored 15, and David West 10.

The victory was the 20th in a row for the Spurs at the SBC Center and tied the franchise’s best start after 16 games at 13-3.

Marc Jackson led Philadelphia with 18 points, and Allen Iverson added 14.

Suns 120, Cavaliers 101

PHOENIX – Amare Stoudemire, Steve Nash and Quentin Richardson each scored 21 points, and the Phoenix Suns – off to their best start in 24 years – won their ninth in a row with a 120-101 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Joe Johnson scored 18 points and held LeBron James to 6-for-19 shooting for 15 points – 11 under his average. Stoudemire scored 13 on 6-for-6 shooting in the decisive third quarter and Nash sat out the fourth while his backup Leandro Barbosa scored 13 of his 15 points.

Shawn Marion had 10 points and 12 rebounds as all five Phoenix starters scored in double figures for the second night in a row. The victory streak matched the sixth-longest in Suns’ history and avenged one of Phoenix’s two losses this season. The Suns’ NBA-best record of 13-2 is their best start since they went 14-2 in 1980-81.

The game featured the players of the month for November, Nash in the Western Conference and James in the Eastern.

Jeff McInnis scored 26 and Zydrunas Ilgauskas 22 for Cleveland, 0-2 on a three-game trip to the West.

The Suns led just 48-46 but outscored the Cavs 72-55 in the second half.

An 18-6 run put the Suns ahead 67-55 on Johnson’s 16-footer with 6:33 left in the third quarter. Stoudemire started the surge with a three-point play. He also had a dunk after Marion’s acrobatic save falling out of bounds.

Barbosa’s rebound basket gave Phoenix its biggest lead of the quarter at 86-71.

When Phoenix played in Cleveland Nov. 10, the Suns blew an 18-point lead with 61/2 minutes in regulation and lost in overtime, 114-109. There was no such collapse in the rematch.

Barbosa’s over-the-head layup, followed by his 3-pointer, capped a 10-2 run that gave Phoenix a 106-86 lead with 5:58 to play.

Cleveland was up by as many as seven points early, but the Suns used a nine-point spurt to go up 35-33 on Johnson’s driving layup with 6:57 left in the second quarter. Jake Voskuhl’s two free throws put Phoenix ahead 46-44 with 1:05 to go, then Richardson’s fast-break runner off the glass made it 48-44. Robert Traylor’s 15-footer with 26.6 seconds to go cut the halftime lead to two.

Richardson scored 14 on 6-for-8 shooting and Nash had 10 points and six assists in the first half. Stoudemire was in foul trouble and made just 3-of-10 shots for eight points in the first two quarter. He didn’t miss again.

Notes: In addition to the players of the month, the game also featured the last two Western Conference players of the week (Marion and Stoudemire). … Ilgauskas scored 13 points in the first quarter, but none in the second. … The smaller Suns outrebounded Cleveland 48-37.
