DALLAS – Antoine Walker scored 27 points and Steve Nash had 23 points and 11 assists to help Dallas coach Don Nelson move into sole possession of second place on the all-time victory list with the Mavericks’ 111-94 win over the Toronto Raptors on Monday night.
Nelson, who reached another milestone with his 3,000th NBA game as a coach and player, has 1,111 coaching victories – one more than Pat Riley.
Former Raptors coach Lenny Wilkens leads with 1,268 victories.
Antawn Jamison had 23 points, Dirk Nowitzki added 14 and rookie Josh Howard had 14 points and 14 rebounds as the Mavericks improved to 12-1 at home.
Rookie Chris Bosh, making his NBA debut in his hometown, had 14 points and eight rebounds for the Raptors, who lost their third straight.
Vince Carter, bothered recently by a sore Achilles’ tendon, had 21 points for Toronto.
Pacers 95, Cavaliers 85
INDIANAPOLIS – Jermaine O’Neal had 24 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to help the Indiana Pacers hand LeBron James and the short-handed Cleveland Cavaliers their 34th consecutive road loss, 95-85 Monday night.
The Cavaliers dressed only nine players after completing a six-player trade with the Boston Celtics earlier in the day.
The Cavs may have had a short bench against Indiana, but they still had James, and that was almost enough.
James had 27 points, six assists, three steals and three blocks, but Cleveland’s road woes continued.
Spurs 78, Grizzlies 67
SAN ANTONIO – Tim Duncan had 21 points and 13 rebounds for his league-leading 20th double-double and the San Antonio Spurs held Memphis scoreless over the final 6:02 on the way to beating the Grizzlies 78-67 Monday night.
Tony Parker added 18 points for the Spurs, who won their seventh straight. Rasho Nesterovic added 10 and tied a career-high with 15 rebounds.
Lorenzen Wright scored six points during an 8-0 spurt that brought the Grizzlies within 72-67 with 6:02 left but Memphis wouldn’t score again.

Red Wings 4, Panthers 1
DETROIT – Pavel Datsyuk scored his fifth goal in five games and added an assist, and Curtis Joseph stopped 21 of 22 shots to give the Detroit Red Wings a 4-1 victory over the Florida Panthers.
Kirk Maltby, Mark Mowers and Mathieu Schneider got the other goals for the Red Wings. Lukas Krajicek scored for Florida, getting his first NHL point.
Joseph stopped Nathan Horton from in close in the opening two minutes and foiled Stephen Weiss on a point-blank tip and rebound attempt.
during a Panthers’ power play early in the second period.
Datsyuk has seven assists in his last five games.
and leads the NHL with 39 points. His 18th goal tied him for second with Atlanta’s Ilya Kovalchuk.
Maltby’s short-handed goal broke a 1-1 tie at 6:57 into the second period.
As Krajicek skated in front of his own net with the puck, Maltby knocked it off of the Florida defenseman’s stick and past goaltender Roberto Luongo.
Mowers’ goal came on the power play 5:09 into the third period when he tipped in a shot by Brendan Shanahan. Schneider added an empty-net goal with 58.3 second left
Datsyuk opened the scoring 6:34 in when his backhand shot from the slot beat Luongo high to the glove side.
Krajicek tied it for Florida with 3:49 left in the first period with a power-play goal. His slap shot from the point went in off the skate of Detroit’s Jiri Fischer.
