PORTLAND – John Hattig homered once, scored twice and drove in three to lift the New Hampshire Fisher Cats to their third straight win, 8-3, against the Portland Sea Dogs in the Eastern League Wednesday.

New Hampshire piled up a 6-0 lead by the fifth inning. Hattig scored in the second, drove in two with a homer in the third and brought one home with a sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth.

The three runs for the Sea Dogs (62-68) came in the bottom of the fifth. Kenny Perez had an RBI triple and Mike Lopez-Cao brought one in with a homer.

The Fisher Cats (75-53) added another two in the sixth on three singles and a walk.

New Hampshire starting pitcher Josh Banks (4-6) struck out seven, walked three and allowed three runs on five hits over five innings to earn the win. Portland starter Kason Gabbard (2-6) took the loss.
