LEWISTON – Brendan McGinley-Tara, a junior at Lewiston High School, will attend Brown University’s 2009 Pre-College Summer Program in July.

In June, he will attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine, joining high school students from across the United States who are determined and motivated to be leaders in their career choice of medicine.

In addition, McGinley-Tara has been qualified for membership in the National Society of High School Scholars, a program recognizing superior academic status, a society established and managed by the Nobel family.

McGinley-Tara is the son of Kaileigh A. Tara and the late Daniel McGinley Jr. He is the grandson of Daniel and Rachel D’Auteuil of Greene and Daniel and Florabelle McGinley of Leeds.
