Class lunch

RUMFORD – The Stephens High School Class of 1955 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, for lunch at Brian’s Bistro.

Society speaker

CARTHAGE – The Carthage Historical Society will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, for a potluck supper and program at the town office.

Jim McGill, local bird carver, will tell about his long-time hobby and show examples of his work. All are welcome.

Benefit dance

RUMFORD – A benefit dance will be held for Richard (Dick) Comeau from 6 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Rumford Eagles.

Comeau, of Peru, was recently diagnosed with a form of cancer know as carcinoma in situ of the bladder, and he is undergoing treatment.
