Puppet program

LISBON FALLS – “We Wish You Jesus,” a Christmas program with the Maranatha Messenger Puppets, will be presented at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at Lisbon Falls Baptist Church, 555 Lisbon St. There will also be some special musical presentations.

Seniors meeting

AUBURN – New Auburn Senior Citizens met on Dec. 3 at the St. Louis Parish Hall with President Virginia Levasseur presiding. December birthdays were noted and each received a small gift. “Happy Birthday” was sung.

Trip Coordinator Jean Doyon is offering several trips. A Christmas party was held on Dec. 7 at Martindale Country Club.

New members are Pat and Roger Dunbar. Pot of gold winners were Helen Lepage, Conrad Vaillancourt, Carmen Forman, Bette Pelletier, Rita Godbout and Jeannine Roux. The 50/50 was won by Connie Blouin. The meeting adjourned, a light lunch was served and bingo followed. The next meeting will be held Wednesday, Jan. 7.

Junior PSAT Night

LISBON – The Lisbon High School guidance office will host Junior PSAT Night for juniors and their parents at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, in the high school library.

The presentation will allow parents and students to learn about PSAT testing, reading and understanding scores and preparing for the SAT I reasoning test next spring.

Promotions

AUBURN – The 077th Composite Squadron, Maine Wing, Civil Air Patrol, Auburn- Lewiston area, recently promoted the following cadets from cadet /basic to cadet/airmen: Kimberly Plummer, Kirby Plummer, Kelly Plummer, Simeon Gray and Taylor Moore.

Cadet/Airman Micaela Smith was promoted to airman first class. The cadets passed all the required tests for promotion.

Bridge winners

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Dec. 8 were: first, Dick Allen and Pete Cummings; second, Paul Sherman and Les Buzzell; third/first in B and C, Larry Fortier and Robert Labbe; fourth/second in B and C, Ellie and Lindy Wigton; fifth/sixth tie, Mary Leahey and Rosemarie Goodwin with Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; third in B, Nancy Farmer and Errol Libby.

Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and a partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie at 754-1431 for information about all duplicate games in the area.

All bridge Christmas parties will be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 15 to 17.
