Quilters to meet

RUMFORD – The Rumford Area Quilters will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street.

Those who wish may bring a fall fabric leaf appliquéd on a 12 inch square or a pieced 12 inch fall fabric square. Those submitting a square will have their name entered in a drawing for some of the squares.

Show and Tell items are welcome as are any quilt donations for Newborns in Need, Wrap A Smile, or for veterans. All area quilters are invited to attend. For more information, call Mary at 562-7050.

Alzheimer meeting

RUMFORD – The Alzheimer Support Group meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the Armory building, 85 Lincoln Ave. For more information, call Donna Landry at 364-4561.
