LEWISTON – Newly elected State Commander Robert H. Bernard of Gorham, a life member of VFW Post 6859, Portland, appointed Arthur J. Roy as his chief of staff, state membership chairman and public relations officer.

The appointment was made at the 88th VFW state convention on June 13 to 15 at the Ramada Inn.

Roy is a past All American state commander for 1991-1992 and serves as adjutant of VFW Post 1603, 588 Minot Ave., Auburn. Roy also serves on many other committees in his post, District 9 and state.
