FARMINGTON – In celebration of their 25th year of service, Franklin County’s sexual-assault crisis center, SAVES (Sexual Assault Victims Emergency Services), is hosting a raffle fundraiser that will run until July 20. Proceeds will benefit SAVES’ work in the Franklin County area.

First prize is a garden shed or children’s playhouse custom-built by Foster Regional Applied Technology Center. The shed construction is a result of a partnership between Foster Regional Applied Technology Center, SAVES, and Hammond Lumber.

The students at Foster Applied Technical Center worked with their instructor, Mike Fogg, to build the custom shed/playhouse with materials supplied by Al Feather and Hammond Lumber. The shed, which is a spacious 8’x8′, includes a window, lockable door, and custom painting designed and implemented by Wildflower Walls’ Janine Winn.

Other anonymous donors also contributed to the construction of the shed, which is currently on display at Hammond Lumber on Farmington Falls Roadand Route 4 in Farmington.

Other prizes include two one-night all-expenses-paid getaways to Sugarloaf Ski Resort and a deluxe condominium at Saddleback Mountain as well as a “date night,” including dinner at the Boiler Room and movie passes.

The tickets, priced at one ticket for $5 or five tickets for $20, are available for sale at SAVES on Pleasant Street in Farmington, Hammond Lumber on Farmington Falls Road, Mickey’s Hallmark in Downtown Farmington, the Wilton Public Library in Downtown Wilton, and Ecopelagicon Nature Store in Rangeley. Tickets will be available until July 20, the date upon which the raffle winners will be drawn. Entrants need not be present to win.
