FARMINGTON – The Exhibition Hall of the Farmington Fairgrounds will be the site of a pie auction, Saturday, June 28, following the “Maine” Pie Judging Contest at 1:30 p.m. Categories will include apple, fruit and other, and all pies must use ingredients grown or processed in Franklin County or elsewhere in Maine.

Prizes will be awarded for each category, as well as a “Best of the Best” selected from the three first place pies.

Proceeds from the auction will be used to finance various educational and charitable programs sponsored by the local Farm Bureau. Come see who the winning local bakers are and help educate local consumers about agriculture in this area.
