Planning meeting

NEW VINEYARD – The New Vineyard Historical Society will hold a special planning and organizing meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, in the historical room. Plans are on-going to exhibit old-time artifacts at Farmington Fair in the Historical House.

Anyone who has anything of that nature they would be willing to loan for fair week is asked to call 652-2252 or 652-2254 to make arrangements to take it to the historical room or for pick-up.

Blood drive

FARMINGTON – The American Red Cross will conduct a Red Sox Nation blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at Franklin Memorial Hospital. All blood donors will receive a free limited edition Red Sox Nation T-shirt and will be eligible to win two tickets to a Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park.

Donors may give blood through the Red Cross every eight weeks. Eligible donors must be at least age 17, weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good health.
