LEWISTON – American Legion Post 22 will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Multi-Purpose Center on Birch Street.
Joseph Paradis, trustee and service officer, said Sen. Peggy Rotundo will speak on veterans issues in Augusta, with a question-and-answer period to follow.
Paradis said nomination of officers will take place and all members are ask to attend. The slate of officers will be installed at a date to be announce later.
Post Commander Donald Dube said Guard Emman, past state department commander, and his installing team will do the honors, date not yet set.
Jerry DerBoghosian, adjutant, said any veteran who may want to run for office must have their dues paid for year 2008.
First Vice Commander Raymond Allen, assisted by his wife, Louise Allen, and Sally Dumond, Auxiliary members, will serve a buffet lunch.
The agenda will include a discussion of the Memorial Day parade and events to take place in the Veterans Memorial Park on May 24. For more information, call 786-0488.
