RUMFORD – The Rumford Community Concert Association will present Angela Jia Kim, a pianist, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Muskie Auditorium, Mountain Valley High School. This is the second concert in the 2007-08 series.

Kim has established a unique voice on the classical music scene, bringing the voices of the French masters to the public. She has performed in New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, San Francisco, Warsaw and Montreal.

A native of Ames, Iowa, Kim began her piano studies at the age of 4 with her mother, Hannah Myung Kim. An Eastman School of Music graduate, Kim resides in New York City with her husband and yellow English Labrador, Ella Fitzgerald. In her free time, she practices yoga and meditation.

Rumford Community Concert Association volunteers will be available at the concert to assist anyone who would like to join. Memberships are $35 for adults, $30 for seniors, $10 for students, and family memberships are $75.
