WATERVILLE – There are many programs that can help Mainers pay for healthcare costs but figuring out program eligibility rules, getting enrolled and making the programs work can be a complex process.
HealthReach Community Health Centers is launching the Navigator Program to help patients determine what healthcare benefits they are eligible for and to assist patients in getting the most out of those benefits.
The Navigator Program is coordinated by Crystal Fitch, LSW. Fitch has been assisting people in central and western Maine with accessing and enrolling in various programs for more than 20 years.
She is available to speak with people about their options for paying for medical care or prescriptions, to help patients apply for and enroll in programs that they are eligible for, and to support patients if they need help accessing their benefits.
The Navigator Program is available at all 11 HealthReach practices and is a free service for members of the community. The program can be accessed by calling toll-free at 1-800-427-1127.
HealthReach Community Health Centers is a system of federally qualified community-based health centers located in central and western Maine. Practices include Bethel, Kingfield, Livermore Falls, Madison, Rangeley, Richmond and Strong.
