GREENE – Several family and Grange members met at the home of Merton and Carol Buzzell recently to surprise Carol’s mother, Glenice Bubier, with this year’s Androscoggin Grange 8 Community Service Award.

Mrs. Bubier is the mother of Carol Buzzell, Patricia Morris and Wayne Bubier and widow of the late Clayton Bubier. She has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bubier is always willing to donate her time, talents and energy to worthwhile projects. Grangers said she can sing, dance, cook, clean, paint and still look fresh and ready for the next project.

The award was presented to her by a niece, Karen Flagg, who is the new Grange secretary. Other guests present were her twin sister, Janice Brewer, an older sister, Dell Farris, Bernard Bates, Patty Lehoux, Michael Flagg, her granddaughter Alyson Buzzell, Randy Bragg and her son-in-law, Merton Buzzell.

Photos were taken as Mrs. Bubier thanked everyone. She was surprised she had been chosen. Refreshments were served to end the evening.
