AUBURN – The student body at Central Maine Community College has elected Student Senate representatives for the academic year.
The Senate provides an opportunity for students to develop skills in public service and leadership. Senators provide a forum for students to represent themselves in matters affecting their education and student life. Dean of Student Services Randall E. Lee serves as the Senate adviser.
The officers include Douglas Sinclair, treasurer, Mexico/Rumford, computer technology program; John Burke, president, Livermore, general studies; Jesse Jarvi, vice president, Richmond, liberal studies; Mike Dunning, secretary, West Bath, building construction technology. Burke recently completed service in the Marine Corps.
The other Student Senate representatives are:
First-year students: David Ouellette of Litchfield, liberal studies; Heather Cunningham of Lewiston, nursing; Laurie Marie Mitchell of Auburn, general studies; Tonya Packard of Durham, nursing; Tom Robinson of Farmington, occupational health and safety; Matt Becker of Lewiston, liberal studies; David Schreiber of Lewiston, liberal studies.
Also, Tim Gray of Farmington, computer technology; Krystal Kroll of Springfield, Mass., medical assisting; Tanya Hebert of Chesterville, architectural and civil engineering; Vincent Duguay of Jay, culinary arts; David S. Reynolds of Topsham, culinary arts; William Robinson of Gray, computer technology; Kelly LaVigne of Auburn, building construction technology.
Second-year students: Katie Smith of St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada, nursing; Meaghan Kindlimann of Lisbon, general studies; Kaitlynn Hamilton of Lisbon Falls, liberal studies; Thuan Ha of Auburn, architectural and civil engineering; Eric Spaulding of Lewiston, computer technology; Cathy Starck of Harrison, graphic arts and printing technology.
