PARIS – The Seneca Club, the Friends’ Group of the Paris Public Library, will host an open house at the library from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, to celebrate National Children’s Book Week.

On display will be many of the children’s books purchased by the library during the year from donations and the library’s annual book sale.

Beside the $1,800 raised by the annual book sale in August, contributions in memory of Margaret Berryment, in honor of Cora Dargis and from the Oxford Hills Rotary Club, among other gifts, added many books to the children’s collection.

The Seneca Club is also holding a raffle this holiday season of items related to Jan Brett, noted children’s author and illustrator.
