AUBURN – The Auburn-Lewiston YMCA is preparing to begin another year of its Skills and Drills Basketball Program for boys and girls who are ages 4 (by April 15, 2007) to 6.

Two sessions will be offered and will focus on the introduction and development of skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, defense and team play. The YMCA accepts 16 kids a class.

The season will begin Tuesday, Oct. 16, and run through the week of Dec. 12. The program will run in two sessions: Session 1 for ages 5 and 6 will be held from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Session 2 for ages 4 to 5 from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Both will be held at the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA.
