MONMOUTH – The Monmouth Fair Association will host multiple events on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the fairgrounds, Academy Road.

Included will be the second annual Fall Harvest Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with artisans and crafters displaying an array of items, including food, artwork, home crafts and wooden products.

They will be spread out among several of the buildings on the fairgrounds as well as outside.

A large contingent of antique tractors from all over the state will converge on the fairgrounds for the Maine Antique Tractor Club’s annual fall tractor pull in the Charles Henry Robinson Pulling Ring.

The pulling events will start around 10 a.m., with many classes to accommodate the various tractor sizes. At approximately noon, they will take a break from the pulling to parade their large assortment of antique tractors down Main Street, passing by the Monmouth Museum Apple Fest activities, then circling back to the fairgrounds.

The Monmouth Youth Football Organization will hosting three football games on the athletic field at the fairgrounds. They will also have the food concession booth open during the day, serving hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs and drinks.

The Monmouth Museum, Main Street, will sponsor the 19th annual Apple Fest on the museum grounds from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fest serves as the museum’s end-of-season fundraising event and brings the community together for a day of activities for adults and children.

The Apple Fest also exposes people to a variety of apple-related activities such as apple arts and crafts, stenciling, displays of apple varieties and historic artifacts associated with the harvesting and processing of apples.
