LISBON FALLS – Creativity was the focus of the Lisbon High School Class of 2009 when members embarked on a project to make a quilt in a day to be used as a fundraiser.

Over the summer, Leah Brooks, Cam Bubar, Mike Beaulieu, Kait Dingley, Kerstin Kenney and Stephanie Smith spent the day at Beaver Park ironing fabric, sewing squares and deciding on a pattern for the quilt.Tickets will be sold through Dec. 15, when the drawing will take place.

They are $1 or six for $5.

Tickets will also be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Lisbon High School Fall Festival.

The event will take place rain or shine at the high school, Route 196.

For more information on ordering tickets, contact Patti Mucenski at the Lisbon High School guidance office at 353-3030 or e-mail [email protected]

Peggy Ridley donated fabric, Laura Campbell give the quilters cookies while they worked on the project, and Kristine Ridley and Verla Brooks assisted them with the project and gave them the inspiration to see it through.
