AUBURN – The Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre will hold its annual membership meeting on Monday, Sept. 10, at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch.

Ron Bouffard, membership chairman, is inviting interested people who would like to learn more about CLT and volunteer in the many facets of theater available. He is also encouraging all season ticket holders and current members to attend. A social and registration will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Tim Pinkham, president, will conduct the business meeting at 7 p.m., opening with an introduction of new members of the board of directors. Recognition of the volunteers in the past year and presentation of the President’s Award will be conferred at the conclusion of the meeting.

CLT is volunteer driven and has many opportunities for people who would like to be active, onstage and backstage.

The nonprofit theater will enter its 68th season in October with a slate of plays never presented here before. It operates year-round producing five shows, three of which are large-scale musicals, two comedies or dramas, in addition to two fundraisers. Volunteers are the backbone of the theater.

Areas where volunteers are welcome include costumes, seamstresses, lighting, sound, publicity, prompting, ushering, mail crew, props, box office, carpenters for set building, stage managing, set décor and scenery. Also needed are directors, vocal coaches, music directors, musicians, rehearsal pianists and clerical office help with computer skills.

Entertainment and refreshments will conclude the evening. CLT members will present a preview of the upcoming 68th season with small excerpts from the dramatic shows and a song or two from the musicals. Kathy Guay Healy, well known local pianist, will be at the keyboard for the musical portion of the evening.
