AUGUSTA – On June 14, lawmakers honored the memory of Joseph T.R. “Rick” Remillard of Lewiston. His wife, Linda, and daughter Cathy Crowley were on hand to receive the legislative sentiment.
Remillard, a 30-year U.S. Army veteran who served in Korea, in Vietnam and in Operation Desert Storm, was also a member of the Board of Appeals for the City of Lewiston.
After retiring from the United States Army he was a member of the Disabled American Veterans organization and he loved to hunt, fish, bowl and play bingo.
“I knew Joseph as an extremely conscientious person who served the people of Lewiston,” said Rep. Elaine Makas, D-Lewiston, who served with Remillard on the Lewiston Board of Appeals. “He was a good man, a hard worker, and committed to his community.”
The Lewiston/Auburn delegation sponsored a legislative sentiment to acknowledge his dedicated service to his community and to the nation.
