LEWISTON – The King’s Bridge Theatre’s Summer Theatre Intensive for Kids is ready to go!
Kids ages 6 to 18 have the opportunity to experience classes, covering areas such as acting, improvisation, scene study, character development, and more!
Registration for all classes is still available. Class sizes are limited, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
For more information, please call 784-9500, or go to www.kingsbridgetheatre.org. The theatre is located at Vineyard Campus, 9 Foss Road.
Performances will be held at the newly renovated Vineyard Auditorium. The following sessions are available:
Kids Session I runs Friday, June 29 to Friday, July 6 and will feature Imagination Station I: Famous Fables! for children ages 6 to 8.
The Play’s The Thing!: Acting 101 for ages nine to 11, and Intro to Acting for 12- to18-year olds.
Session II will follow and runs Monday, July 9 to Friday, July 13. This session’s offerings include Imagination Station II – Animal Tales!, a direct follow-up to Imagination Station I, for 6- to 8-year-olds, Fantasy Onstage! (a follow up to Session I’s The Play’s the Thing!) for ages 9 to 11, and, back by popular request, Where’s The Script?: Improv Gone Wild!!!, all improv, all the time for 12-to-18-year-olds.
All classes will culminate in a “King’s Bridge Kids Performance Day” directly following their session.
Students can choose to participate in one or both sessions, and with small class sizes, performers receive plenty of one-on-one instruction and onstage experience, while building new friendships and learning to work in a team.
