Mildred Bickford of Auburn was recently recognized for her outstanding leadership at the Maine Educators Association Retirees State Conference in Augusta. In recognition of community service, Bickford was presented a certificate of appreciation and a commemorative clock. Since retiring after 42 years as a classroom instructor, Bickford has started a home-based computer business. She has also been active in area organizations.
