LEWISTON – HealthSteps, a health education and prevention program for adults, has a wide range of classes with the core membership fee, including:

Mix It Up: 6 to 7 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays. It is the ideal class for people who get bored with exercise. Every class is different. It is a sample of classes offered throughout the year.

Walk/Jog: 6 to 6:45 a.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays. The group meets rain or shine.

Time to Stretch: 6:45 to 7:10 a.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays. The class goes through a full body stretch for relaxation, peace of mind and an increase in flexibility.

TNT (Tone-n-Tighten): 7:05 to 8 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays. Strengthen the major muscle groups using resistance tubes and bands.

Balance Ball Blast: 7:15 to 8 a.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays. The class combines flexibility, strength, cardio and coordination while using an exercise ball.

Core and Stretch: 8 to 8:45 a.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays. An abdominal and lower back workout followed by total body stretching to increase flexibility.

All core classes are held at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and run from May 29 through June 29. The cost of a core membership is $30.
