Tables available
MEXICO – The Mexico Public Library will host a sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 23, in the area beside and behind the library. In the event of rain, the sale will be held indoors at the Town Hall.
In addition to the sale of used books, videos and baked goods, the library extends an invitation to anyone who would like to rent a table/space and sell their own items. The will be $15, or $25 for two tables/spaces. All money taken in from a yard sale vendor’s table will go to the vendor.
For more information and to sign up for a table/space, visit the library at 134 Main St. or call 364-3281. The deadline to sign up will be Friday, June 15.
Post installs
DIXFIELD – Swasey-Torrey American Legion Post 100 and Auxiliary held installation of new officers on May 6. Installing Legion officer was State Legion Commander Don Simoneau.
The new officers are: commander, Marcel Martineau; first vice commander, Richard R. Roberts; second vice commander, Leland Merchant; adjutant, Ditson Welch; finance, Roland Barker; chaplain, Lester Prue.
The Auxiliary installing officer was Evanna Grover, past district president. Being installed were: president, Phyllis Prue; first vice president, Connie Tutlis; second vice president, June Merchant; secretary, Anita Murphy; treasurer, Charlene Wing; chaplain, Joyce Richards; sergeant-at-arms, Carol Gallant.
