AUBURN — James Culleton of Lisbon, 82, died at the Hospice House in Auburn on Sunday, April 8, surrounded by family.

James joined the U.S. Marines at a young age and was always proud to be a Marine. In 1960, he married Marna Eldene Chadbourne, and they enjoyed many happy years together, until her death in 2015.

Together they shared three children: Carol, the oldest, Harvey, second-oldest, and Linda, the youngest.

Jimmy was a very hard worker. When he was young he worked with his father in a logging business. From there, he worked at Marcal Paper until its closing. Next, he worked for a state facility, Pineland Center, until he retired in 2008.

While holding down full-time jobs, he maintained Highland Cemetery in Poland.

He also loved his furry friends, Babie, Sophie, Smokey, Pudgie, Harley and Heidi. Jimmy was a fun-loving guy who easily made friends and everyone seemed to like him.
