AUBURN – The Auburn-Lewiston YMCA and Advocates for Children have announced a special night for the YMCA program geared for families in the community: Family Prime Time.
The free event, which offers a variety of activities for children and their parents, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 27. Some of the activities will be designated open gym and swim times, games in the Teen Center and use of the fitness center for parents.
The regular Family Prime Time hours are 8:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. and 3:45 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Friday. Prime Time is included with family membership.
“The focus is to get families in here together,” said Prime Time Coordinator Sonya Dulac. “Mom can take an exercise class while the children do special activities and dad is in the weight room or they can all swim together. Prime Time has added a great value to our family membership.”
Whether a family has a membership or if they are interested in joining, they are welcome at the Prime Time Family Night.
The YMCA will offer light refreshments and tours of the facilities. There is no cost to attend Prime Time Family Night. Call the YMCA at 795-4095 no later than Thursday, April 26, to register. People can also stop by the facility at 62 Turner St. to sign up.
