All schools take pride in their students’ good work. Lewiston Middle School has come up with a way to honor their students. That way is by having Pride Drawings. When a student shows outstanding citizenship, sportsmanship, or scholarship, the teacher who saw the behavior gives the student a little slip called a Pride Card. The students write their names on the slips and place them in a box located in the School Guidance office.
Every Thursday afternoon, a few teachers on the Pride Committee draw four seventh grade students’ names and four eighth grade students names. Those students are given a little award for their good work. This is a great way to reward students, and it is also a great incentive for those students who aren’t always on their best behavior. Keep on working LMS students!
