LEWISTON – A pancake breakfast will be held from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Sunday, March 11, in the Holy Cross Church Hall to benefit a student mission trip to Mississippi. Tickets are $5 for adults; $3 for children under 12; free, children under 5.
Forty-one seniors from St. Dominic Regional High School of Auburn will travel to Mound Bayou, Miss., to work with the less fortunate. The seniors will give up their April vacation, travel by school bus and provide service to the St. Gabriel Center. They will live in tents for a week and learn to sacrifice luxuries they are use to having every day.
Tickets can be purchased from students attending this year’s mission or at the door. Those who are not able to attend the breakfast but would still like to support their efforts can mail donations to Mission Mississippi, St. Dominic Regional High School, 121 Gracelawn Ave., Auburn, ME 04210.
