LEWISTON – Sharing Through Experience support group will hold a “Walk To Remember” at 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 15, at St. Mary’s Women’s Pavilion, 330 Sabattus St. Registration will begin at 9 a.m.

October is National Pregnancy Loss Awareness Month and “A Walk To Remember” has been created nationally to honor those babies who have died through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth or newborn death. The two-mile walk will unite committed parents, families, friends and professionals who have experienced the loss of a baby.

It will be the third annual Sharing Through Experience walk. All proceeds will benefit the Colby Fund, which enable the group to assist bereaved parents, emotionally and financially, with their loss.

The walk will start with healthy snacks, and T-shirts will be available for those who collect $50 in sponsors. The walk will kick off at St. Mary’s Women’s Pavilion, walk to Central Maine Medical Center, then back to St. Mary’s for a symbolic release of balloons in memory of the babies who were lost.

All are invited to join the walk. For more information, contact [email protected].
