BETHEL – A program, “Diabetes: Small Steps, Big Rewards,” will be presented for persons with diabetes, family members and friends from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Crescent Park School.
The program is part of the fall series of “To Your Health” programs offered by Western Mountains Senior College and SAD 44 Adult Education in collaboration with the Bethel Family Health Center.
Betty Sirois, RN, BSN, and Pat Watson, MS, RD, certified diabetes educators at Stephens Memorial Hospital, will present the program. They will give an overview of management skills needed to help persons with diabetes care for themselves on a daily basis and will include the prevention, symptoms and treatment of diabetes.
Dianna Milot, practice manager of Bethel Family Health Center, said the workshop was planned in response to the needs of many center clients. Milot invites anyone interested in learning more about diabetes to attend. Registration is not required but will assist with planning. Call 824-2053 or 824-8610.
