Michaud hours
LIVERMORE FALLS – Congressman Michael H. Michaud has announced office hours on Tuesday, Oct. 17, in the following communities:
Farmington: 9 to 10:30 a.m., Farmington Town Office.
Wilton: 11 a.m. to noon, SeniorsPlus Community Center.
Livermore Falls: 3 to 4 p.m., Livermore Falls Town Office.
Constituent Service Representative Matt Dubois will be available for those who want assistance with a problem with a federal agency or want to voice concerns about a particular issue before Congress.
Elks bingo
FARMINGTON – Farmington Elks Lodge 2430 will sponsor Basket Bingo on Sunday, Oct. 15, at the lodge, West Farmington.
Doors will open at 11:30 a.m., and bingo will start at 1 p.m. Lunch and refreshments will be available.
There will be door prizes and raffles. For tickets or more information, call the lodge at 778-6761 or Shannon Smith at 778-4726. Groups of four or more who plan to sit together should go early.
Book clubs join
NORWAY – The Barton and Browning Book Clubs will meet together for the first time at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at the Norway Memorial Library. The clubs have been active in the Norway-Paris area since the early 1900s.
Speaker will be Tineka Ouwinga of Bethel., who will speak about her experience living in Nazi-occupied Holland during World War II. The book, which members will discuss, is “The Hiding Place” by Corrie Ten Boom.
Seniors meet
LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Sept. 18 with 30 members present.
Mary Grouleau led in singing “In the Garden.” The sick list included Emile Richards, Cindy Hebert and Peggy McDonald. A guest, Betty Green, was present.
The monthly meal from SeniorsPlus will be served at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2. The 50-50 raffle was won by Doris Wilson.
