You never really know what you have until you have lost it. Then you either risk everything to go out and get it, or just leave it alone and deal without it. I was recently in a situation like this, I neglected it and then I lost it. I had the chance to change everything I had, to go out and attempt to recover what I had unexpectedly lost. I managed to get it back and now I am exhilarated with my decision to reach out and reacquire that which I had misplaced.
So in my situation, it turned out to be for the better, but it could have made it worse. What I’m trying to say is don’t take advantage of things you have, but take advantage of the time you have with it. Not everything lasts forever.
