NORWAY – The Tri-Ms – Modern Music Masters Honor Society of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School will present a free concert at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, on the front lawn of the Norway Memorial Library. The public is invited to bring their blankets and lawn chairs.

The musicians are student members of the nationally affiliated music honor society and will perform as part of their education requirement for community service. The program will include instrumental and vocal ensembles, as well as duets, fiddle selections and solos. Selections will range from Bach, Beethoven and Mozart to traditional Irish and American songs.

The students include 2006 graduates as well as returning underclassmen, taught by Sarah Johnson, vocal music instructor for the Oxford Hills School District. For more information, call Norway Memorial Library at 743-5309.

Craft fair

PARIS – The annual scholarship craft fair of the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Lorraine Elizabeth Hemingway, local author, will sign her latest book, and there will be a variety of handmade crafts, white elephant items and a lunch area with sandwiches and homecooked foods. Museum open

HARTFORD – The James and Orlando Museum in Hartford Center will be open for visitors from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays during July and August. The Hartford Heritage Society will meet at the museum at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 23. All members and persons interested in the society are welcome.

History Day

WOODSTOCK – The Woodstock Historical Society has set Saturday, Aug. 19, as the annual History Day and sale. It will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature museum tours, a food sale, a flea market and crafts.

Anyone wanting a table in the parking lot should call 665-2450. The annual picnic will be a week earlier, at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Billings’ home, 70 South Main St. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be grilled by Paul and Vicki Billings. Those attending should take plates, utensils and a chair. The August meeting and election of a nominating committee will follow. Joyce Howe had a program on Maine for July.

Class reunion

BETHEL – Telstar Regional High School Class of 1981 will hold its 25th reunion on Saturday, Aug. 12.

The alumni barbecue will be held at 11 a.m. at the school. At 6 p.m. the class dinner will take place at the Rooster Roadhouse with music by Peter Morton. Cost is $30 a person. A family picnic will be held at noon Sunday, Aug. 13, at a place yet to be decided.

Public breakfast

WATERFORD – The Wilkins Community House, located beside the Waterford Congregational Church on Plummer Hill, will offer its second breakfast of the summer on Wednesday, July 19. The nonprofit organization oversees the upkeep of the Wilkins House, which is available for private and community events.

Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 10 a.m. The expanded menu will include scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage links, homemade muffins, doughnuts, orange juice and coffee. The cost is $5 for adults; $3, children 5 to 10; free, children under 5.

Downstairs there will be an indoor yard sale throughout the morning to benefit the church and house building improvement fund.

The Women’s Fellowship will have a craft table featuring handmade items. There will be a raffle for an original piece of stained glass, the winner to be drawn during the last breakfast.

On July 19 and Aug. 16, there will be a bake table. Proceeds from the Women’s Fellowship are used to support community causes. Breakfast will also be held on Aug. 2 and 16.
