A report that came out in 1994 shows that children in families with two parents, are almost twice as likely to be overweight if they skip breakfast, than children who eat breakfast because skipping meals makes you much hungrier during the day, resulting in more overall calorie intake throughout the day.

Also, students who eat breakfast have an easier time concentrating in class. This will improve their scores on standardized tests. It also has been proven that students who eat breakfast are more creative and open to new ideas. This helps them to ask themselves questions and motivates them to find the answers, improving what they get out of their education.

You may also ask, ” But what if I don’t like breakfast foods?” What you may not know is that there are many breakfast foods other than traditional bagels, waffles, eggs, etc: Fresh berries are great on many bran cereals. Even melon mixed up in oat meal can make a great breakfast. Another favorite is fruit salad (fruit mixed with yogurt). If you are creative and think outside the box, breakfast can be very tasty.

Last, you may simply think that you have no time for breakfast. Well, it may be that you’re taking more time than you need to. To make breakfast quicker, there are a few things you can do. The night before, you can make sure the blender is out and ready. Mix what ever you will be blending and put it in the fridge for morning. When you wake up pop every thing into the blender and you’re ready to go. Now you can be healthy and be at school or work on time.
