RUMFORD – Area youngsters who desire to learn more about the game of basketball are invited to participate in Summer Basketball Camp to be held from June 19 to 29. The camp is open to any area youngster regardless of experience.

Grades two through six will be open to boys and girls. The goal of the camp is to fulfill the individual expectation of the participants, whether is it playing in the championship game at the Cumberland County Civic Center or engaging in healthy exercise and friendly competition.

The camp will be broken up into grade levels and different aspects of the game will be taught at the different levels. Grades two to four boys and girls will meet from 8 to 9 a.m.; grades five and six boys and girls, 9 to 10:30 a.m.; and grades seven to nine boys, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The cost of the camp will be $75. Checks can be mailed and made out to Rick White at 216 Penobscot St., Rumford, ME 04276. Registrations should be received by Wednesday, June 14.
